Containment Course

Containment Course

Containment is the skill of staying steady in the face of intense emotion, without being overwhelmed or driven to act. When a feeling becomes intense, two exits open automatically: push it down or let it drive your next action. Both end the discomfort quickly and leave the emotion in charge. This course teaches containment as a practical skill, not suppression, numbing out, or forcing yourself to stay calm. You'll learn why suppression makes a feeling stronger, how the body settles it once you stop feeding it, and how to stay with intensity without being swept into it. The goal isn't to calm down. It's about choosing your response instead of letting the feeling run you.

How to use this course

One lesson a day works best. Each lesson is complete and functional on its own.

Use your thoughts, reactions, and history. The frameworks work with your material.

Use the practice rounds at the end of the curriculum to test your skill.

Take what is useful and leave the rest. When the skill holds on its own, you are done.
